The 5Dculture project actively participated in the School of Science educational initiative, an engaging series of workshops held from March to April 2024 in Spain. Led by the University of Jaén, these workshops aimed to bring science and innovation closer to young minds. They sought to ignite a passion for science, establish connections between citizens' interests and the university's research endeavors, and inspire budding scientific vocations.
Under the umbrella of the 5Dculture project, the workshop "Iberian Exvotos" was conducted across three schools in Jaén, Martos, and Jódar. Tailored for five-year-old students, the workshop employed 3D models to delve into the rich culture of the Iberians. With a particular focus on aspects of Iberian religiosity, students explored materials central to ritual practices, such as bronze votive offerings.
Moreover, the workshop served as students' inaugural exposure to research activities, nurturing a positive attitude toward the preservation of cultural heritage. It underscored the importance of heritage conservation as an invaluable tool for understanding past societies.
